OceanLedger Token (OLT)

Blockchain Infrastructure for Ocean Protection & Blue Economy

Project Overview

OceanLedger Token (OLT) is a blockchain-based digital asset focused on marine environmental protection. The project aims to promote global ocean ecosystem restoration through marine carbon sink management, plastic recycling traceability, and blue economy incentive mechanisms.

The network adopts a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, supports smart contract development, and integrates an NFT marketplace for certifying marine environmental projects and recycling activities. Its overall architecture is comparable to Ethereum, but it is purpose-built for ocean-focused applications such as mangrove carbon sinks, seagrass bed restoration, and plastic waste traceability.

The whitepaper emphasizes low-energy network design and cross-chain interoperability.

The Challenge Facing Global Oceans

Marine ecosystems are under increasing pressure due to climate change, plastic pollution, and lack of transparent funding mechanisms. Ocean restoration projects often suffer from limited accountability, fragmented data, and inefficient incentive systems.

The OceanLedger Token Solution

OceanLedger introduces a blockchain-based solution that ensures transparent tracking of marine carbon sinks, verifiable plastic recycling activities, and fair incentive distribution through smart contracts and on-chain data records.
